They are effective in chipping branches of greater diameter, up to 26cm, with a very high output, to obtain small and regular cuttings.

The principle of chipping branches is as follows. Knives mounted on a heavy wheel pass in front of a counter-blade, thus making a clean cut.

This operation can be associated with that of a planer used in woodwork.
